The racoon2 Mailing Lists


If you have any question about racoon2, you can ask at the racoon2-users mailing list. It is the successor of, which is now deprecated.

We recommend subscribing racoon2-users before sending your mail even though you can post without subscription. To subscribe to racoon2-users, send "subscribe" in the body of a mail to You will receive a confirmation mail from the automatic list manager, then you reply to the mail to complete the procedure.

If you want to help us or if you want to contribute, please contact us. Feel free to post any patches, make suggestions, etc. In particular, to check English documentation is very helpful for us.

How to Subscribe/Unsubscribe/Post

  • To subscribe to a mailing list, send "subscribe" in the body to <listname>, and reply to the confirmation message.
  • To unsubscribe from a mailing list, send "unsubscribe" in the body to <listname>, and reply to the confirmation message.
  • To post a message, send it to <listname>

Please avoid an HTML mail. In particular, the automatic list driver may not recognize the subscribe command in it. Don't assume all subscribers can render it.

If you have any trouble with (un)subscribing, you can contact human administrators at <listname>-admin.

If you don't receive a confirmation mail...

Check the following items.

  • Use plain text mails (not HTML or any other decoration formats).
  • Put commands in the body of a mail (not the Subject field).
  • Commands (subscribe/unsubscribe/help/...) are actually without double quotation marks.
  • Send commands to <listname>-ctl (not <listname> itself).
